Therapy Services

Many people come to therapy because they are feeling anxious or sad, or are having relationship problems, or other life difficulties.  Dr. Giurelli works with people experiencing a wide range of problems, but most people are in treatment with her for anxiety related problems.  She sees adults aged 19 and older, both men and women.  Below are examples some of the problems frequently seen.

  • dealing with the stress of chronic pain
  • anxiety related to medical procedures
  • problems related to life transitions
  • stress related to career decisions

  • fear of public speaking
  • dealing with the effects of past trauma

Fees and Insurance

If you are using insurance, your insurance company will determine your out of pocket costs. Dr. Giurelli is a licensed clinical psychologist in Connecticut and Massachusetts.  In Connecticut she is a participating provider for Aetna, and Anthem BC/BS, and Medicare insurance panels.  She is an out of network provider for all other insurance plans in Connecticut. Dr. Giurelli is currently seeing clients in Massachusetts through telehealth only and is an out of network provider in Massachusetts. 

If you are not using insurance to cover the costs of therapy, Dr. Giurelli’s  fees are $240 for the initial visit(s) and $170 for every individual psychotherapy visit thereafter.
